Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week: Angie Ratliff

March 13, 2025

With over a decade in healthcare, Angie Ratliff has dedicated her career to advocating for and supporting the elderly population. She began her journey in 2012 as an ER social worker at King’s Daughters Medical Center before transitioning into long-term care in 2017.

Angie’s passion for senior care was sparked at a young age when her grandfather was placed at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation. She spent her summers volunteering, quickly realizing how special and invaluable the elderly population is. Her experience as an Adult Protection Service worker further strengthened her commitment to ensuring seniors receive the highest quality of care. “The elderly population has always held a special place in my heart,” she shares.

Even during challenging times in healthcare, Angie remains motivated by the happiness of her residents and Care Team members. “Seeing and hearing our residents and CTMs happy, smiling, and laughing keeps me going.”

For Angie, the most rewarding part of her role is the personal connections she builds with residents. A simple smile, a heartfelt “thank you,” or hearing “I love you” from those without family reminds her of the lasting impact of compassionate care. Thank you, Angie, for your dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to those you serve!
